The Unfolding:ai weekly newsletter about AI for Business Professionals

Following on from last weeks announcements with openAI, GPTs have been released. In the first few days, interesting, amazing, and dreadfully bad examples have already been created.

This is fueled by the ‘app store for GPTs’ which was discussed as part of the keynote. This could be amazing opportunity for both new business ideas and an overwhelming amount of really bad software!

What is a GPT Bot

OpenAI has introduced a new feature called GPTs, allowing customization of ChatGPT for specific tasks. These custom ‘ bots’ are easy to create without any coding, anyone can build them.

You need to be a chat GPT Premium Subscriber, to use and build.

This is the first step towards ‘Agents’, which are essentially autonomous process tools which will allow you to set AI to work on a sequence of tasks for you.

These are a great way to organise your own prompts that you often re-use. In the announcement it was hinted that when ‘team plans’ are released you will be able to share your prompts within your team. This would be a great way to increase productive use of chatGPT, and maybe to some extend standardise.

Here is a link to a really simple one for you to try out.

Here is where you can find them on your interface. Pressing explore also includes the ‘create’ a GPT button.

You can add additional data files, complex prompt structures, and ‘actions’ which allow them to be extended (this last activity is more advanced than the first two).
